Health Department and Convention Center Field Hospital Announce Appointment Only Pediatric Vaccination Clinic

Announcement Comes After FDA and CDC Say Vaccine is Safe and Effective in Children

BALTIMORE, MD. (Friday, November 5th, 2021) –Today, Health Commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa and the Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital announced an appointment only pediatric vaccination clinic. This Saturday, November 6th, The Baltimore City Health Department in partnership with the Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital and Five Medicine will hold a by appointment only 5-11 year old vaccination clinic at the Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital from 8 am to 12 pm. 

The Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital is a joint venture between the University of Maryland Medical System, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Baltimore City, and Maryland Department of Health. 

CDC now recommends that children between the ages of 5 and 11 years receive the Pfizer- COVID-19 Vaccine. Studies indicate the vaccine is safe and proven to be over 90% effective against COVID19. 

To schedule an appointment, you can either visit here or call the Baltimore City Health Department COVID-19 Call Center at 443-984-8650, Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 6:30pm or Saturday 9 am - 1pm. 

A parent or guardian must accompany the child for vaccination and should bring proof of the parent or guardian’s identity (e.g. driver’s license, passport, utility bill, etc.).

The Health Department is excited to expand our clinical partnership with The Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital and Five Medicine to bring this important resource to our pediatric residents,” said Baltimore City Health Department Commissioner Dr. Letitia Dzirasa.
