The Baltimore City Health Department's (BCHD) Youth Wellness and Community Health division is dedicated to fostering healthier communities through various essential services and resources for residents within the City of Baltimore. We focus on Maternal and Child Health services to support families from pregnancy through childhood, and School Health initiatives to ensure our students' well-being and healthcare remains at the forefront. Our Environmental Health programs promotes safe and healthy restaurants, businesses, buildings, and establishments, while also focusing on Animal Control efforts. Through our Healthy Homes efforts, we strive to improve living conditions and concentrate on reducing long-term health issues through the Chronic Disease Prevention programs.
BCHD also operates the Office of Youth and Trauma Services to address and support the needs of young individuals facing trauma. Through Youth Wellness and Community Health, our comprehensive approach can make a positive impact on the community's health and well-being.
