Park Heights is the home of a diverse and exciting community of over 20,000 residents and encompasses 12 neighborhoods and 1500 acres. The community is rich in assets: Brand new 21st century schools; multiple health institutions; active community leaders; dedicated community service providers; strong homeowners; accessible transit lines and a full service MVA site; strong faith-based institutions; recreational facilities including world-class Callow Hill aquatic center; Sankofa African Children’s Museum; an Urban Agriculture and Farm Program; and it is also the proud home of the Preakness races.

DHCD remains committed to supporting prospective and existing homeowners, renters and neighborhood stakeholders to ensure that they all benefit from rising values and improved neighborhood conditions.
At the same time, the preservation and creation of quality, housing - both rental and homeownership - must be planned for at the outset to achieve successful mixed-income communities. Supporting existing and long-term residents will not be an after thought.
