Plan updatesThe Planning Commission adopted the Arundel Elementary + Cherry Hill Elementary/Middle Schools INSPIRE Plan on March 23, 2017. Download the plan here. Between March 2016 and March 2017, Department of Planning staff worked with members of the school and neighborhood communities to better understand their neighborhood experiences, concerns, and needs. Through community workshops, community meetings, and surveys, stakeholders have helped inform the draft recommendations presented here. Recommendations from previous plans were also evaluated and included where appropriate. (updated 08/18) |
Community-Selected Priority Project
Through the INSPIRE planning process, residents showed overwhelming support for Department of Planning to use bond funding to turn the underutilized right-of-way at Cherry Hill and Seabury into an accessible and landscaped pathway. Infrastructure improvements made by the City will provide a canvas for community-designed personal elements. Phase 1 will focus on pedestrian safety, accessibility, and creating a space for public activity. Phase 2 will focus on community-led playful, educational, and beautifying elements. Check out the INSPIRE_Cherry Hill Project Flier for more details and images.
