What We Do
The Office of Equity and Civil Rights ensures everyone is treated fairly. We help enforce laws to protect people’s rights and wages. We help those with disabilities receive fair opportunities. We also keep an eye on the police.
Our mission is to stop unfairness and discrimination. Our office has different groups to help with these goals. The groups are:
- The Police Accountability Division
- The Community Relations Commission
- The Mayor’s Commission on Disabilities
- The Equity Office
- The Wage Commission
- The Women's Commission
