Additional permanent supportive housing units will be available in HABC-owned housing developments for eligible homeless households

BALTIMORE, MD. (Wednesday, May 8, 2024) – Today, the Mayor’s Office of Homeless Services (MOHS) and the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC) released the following statement about the expansion of the Housing Plus Program to provide 36 additional permanent supportive housing units, for a total of 50 dwelling units in conventional housing developments owned by HABC, for eligible households and individuals experiencing homelessness.   

“We are proud of the progress we’ve made by working alongside our federal, state and local partners to increase housing in Baltimore City. We continue to recognize that partnerships such as this are critical as our state faces both a housing and a homelessness crisis. The expansion of this project will result in 36 two-bedroom and larger units for eligible households that include  supportive services and additional resources which strengthens clients ability to remain stably housed in Baltimore City.”
