The HOPWA Program is the only federal program dedicated to the housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS and their families.
About
HOPWA supports persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) by providing them with safe and sanitary housing and an overall stable living environment. In addition, HOPWA provides the supportive services necessary to maintain housing stability, gain better access to care, and enhance quality of life.
Eligibility
Low-income persons (at or below 80 percent of area median income) that are medically diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and their families are eligible to receive HOPWA-funded assistance.
