Youth Services is all about helping young people in Baltimore get ready for future careers. Whether it's summer jobs or year-round training, we are here to support you in building a bright future.

Summer Jobs 

 Through YouthWorks, teens and young adults ages 14–21 are offered summer positions with private, nonprofit, and city and state government employers in Baltimore City. Youth will learn to prepare for a career and learn new skills. Learn more about our YouthWorks Summer Jobs program.  

Job Training for Youth 

YO Baltimore is here to help young people in Baltimore City who are between 18 and 24 years old. If you're not going to school or don't have a job, you can come to YO Baltimore. We offer classes to help you with your studies, prepare for the GED test, help you find a job and give you job training. We have two YO Centers in the city, one in West Baltimore and one in East Baltimore. At these centers, you can learn new things, improve your skills, and get back on the right path.

YH2O: Baltimore City Career Mentoring Program  

YH2O is a career mentoring and preparation program that helps young adults get ready for full-time jobs in the public works industry. It's for Baltimore City residents, ages 18-24, who have a high school diploma or GED, need a job, and aren't in a job training program or college.

Youth Opportunity Center  

The Youth Opportunity Centers offer classes to help you with your studies, prepare for the GED test, help you find a job. We have two centers in the city, one in West Baltimore and one in East Baltimore. At these centers, you can learn new things, improve your skills, and get back on the right path.

Grads2Careers helps recent Baltimore City Public Schools graduates begin their careers. It does this by providing free job training programs to prepare youth for jobs in well-paying, high-demand careers. If you live in Baltimore City, graduated from a Baltimore City Public School or got a Maryland High School Diploma (GED), and you're between 18 and 21 years old, you can get free job training to earn certificates in many fields.  

Job training and certifications are available in:

  • Biotechnology  
  • Construction  
  • Healthcare 
  • Information Technology 
  • Distribution & Logistics  
  • Land Surveying
