Oversees and enforces the City’s Public Ethics Law. Responsibilities include: investigating ethics complaints and issuing sanctions, where appropriate; training City officials and employees on the Ethics Law; providing advisory opinions and other guidance on the application of the Ethics Law; managing the collection and review of financial disclosure statements and other required ethics forms; approving and overseeing governmental/charitable solicitation campaigns; and overseeing the lobbying registration and reporting process.
