The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend. Traffic Modifications for City Poly Fest

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the City Poly Fest which will be held at Middle Branch Park.

In preparation for the event, the north side of Waterview Avenue will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with detour in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

Traffic Modifications for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

This Saturday, a temporary road closure will be in effect for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, which will be held in the vicinity of M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards.

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the following street will be closed to through traffic from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hamburg Street Bridge from Leadenhall Street to Russell Street

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Port to Fort 6K

This Saturday, temporary lane closures and parking restrictions will be implemented for the Believe in Tomorrow Port to Fort 6K which will be held in Locust Point.

The race will kick off from the Liberty Lot at 1215 E. Fort Avenue at 8:30 a.m.  Participants will proceed west on Fort Avenue, left on Belt Street, left on E. Randall Street, then slight left on Webster Street, right onto E. Fort Avenue heading east against traffic, then slight right at Wallace Street.  The race continues into Ft. McHenry to complete a loop inside the fort.  Participants will exit the fort onto Fort Avenue, heading back to the Liberty Lot against traffic to finish.

In preparation for the event, the following roadway will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Eastbound E. Fort Avenue closed from Covington Street to Constellation Plaza

In addition, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible with parking restrictions in effect.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops will be implemented during the event for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Charm City Circulator (CCC) Banner and Cherry Route patrons should be advised that the CCC will be detoured on Saturday, October 26, 2024, during the event from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Additional information can be found on the CCC website.

Traffic Modifications for the Great Halloween Lantern Parade & Festival

This weekend, temporary road closures will be in effect for the Great Halloween Lantern Parade and Festival which will be held in Patterson Park.

On Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27, 2024, the following street will be closed to through traffic from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Linwood Avenue closed from Eastern Avenue to Pratt Street

Traffic Modifications for the Reservoir Hill Harvest Festival

This Sunday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the 19th annual Reservoir Hill Harvest Festival which will be held in Reservoir Hill.

In preparation for the event, Whitelock Street will be closed to through traffic between Brookfield and Linden Avenues on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect.

Traffic Modifications for the Christ the King Procession

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Christ the King Procession.

On Sunday, October 27, 2024, temporary traffic holds/road closures will occur along the following roadways during the procession from approximately 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.:

  • W. Saratoga Street from Cathedral Street to Park Avenue
  • Park Avenue from Saratoga to Mulberry Streets
  • Mulberry Street from Park Avenue to Cathedral Street
  • Cathedral Street from Mulberry to Saratoga Streets
