Chancia Mouketou, DrPH, holds a Doctorate in Public Health from Morgan State University (MSU) and has extensive experience in the public health sector. She has been instrumental in the COVID-19 vaccination response, research assistance, and mental health advocacy, demonstrating her commitment to improving health outcomes through innovative public health strategies. Her proficiency in web-based programming and effective disease monitoring exemplifies her dedication to optimizing public health protocols. Currently, Dr. Mouketou is collaborating with MSU and the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) on a transformative project that enhances the capacity of historically Black and minority-serving academic institutions. This initiative focuses on implementing authentic community engagement strategies through the development of a “Pathway Neutral” Orientation module. Serving as a central liaison among AMCHP, MSU, and 16 designated HBCU/MSI research centers, Dr. Mouketou plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and advancing maternal and child health initiatives. Dr. Mouketou’s previous experience will be invaluable in facilitating the implementation of effective community engagement strategies. Her role as a liaison among diverse stakeholders positions her to promote collaboration and drive impactful initiatives that address critical health needs in Baltimore City.
