What We Do
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 gave $641 million to the City of Baltimore to help with the COVID-19 pandemic’s public health and economic impacts. Mayor Brandon M. Scott plans to use this one-time funding to benefit the city’s future and ensure fair access to resources and services for all residents.
In July 2021, Mayor Scott established the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Programs. This Office manages ARPA funding and reports to both the federal government and the public. This website serves as a central hub for information on Recovery Programs in Baltimore.
The Treasury Department, the agency overseeing ARPA, distributed the first half of the funds in the spring of 2021, with the remainder expected by mid-2022. Baltimore City is committed to using these funds to benefit the community by December 31, 2024.
