About Mariela Rodriguez

As the BNAAC Community Outreach Manager, Mariela supports MIMA and other coalition members in promoting their newest project The Baltimore New American Access Coalition (BNAAC) to Baltimore City’s immigrant and refugee communities. The objective of the program is to increase access to health and human services. Before joining MIMA Mariela worked as a community organizer and clinic coordinator at the Baltimore City Health Department to increase COVID vaccinations and vaccine availability for Baltimore City’s Latinx population. Mariela studied Health Behavior Science at the University of Delaware and after completing her time there, continues to work towards reducing health inequities.
