About Candisse Bennett-Parker
Candisse Bennett-Parker was appointed Director of the Mayor’s Office of Correspondence and Constituent Services in October 2022 after spending three years as the office’s Deputy Director.
In this role, Bennett-Parker is responsible for leading a team that helps constituents access services either through government agencies or nonprofit service providers. This team is committed to responding to phone calls or emails, providing constituents with support to cut through the red tape and be connected with the services or resources they need. The team is also responsible for processing requests for proclamations and other ceremonial documents from the Mayor’s Office.
Bennett-Parker takes pride in her team’s work to help close the gap between constituents and the agencies in which they seek help and resources from and enjoys helping others become more aware of the supports accessible via various platforms. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that all constituents in need are supported despite economic status, neighborhood location, age, or ethnicity.
With more than 10 years of experience working as an operational and administrative professional, Bennett-Parker places a high priority on customer satisfaction and conflict resolution. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office, she provided significant support to leadership with the Baltimore City Board of Education, including the Chief Executive Office, Chief Academic Office and Chief of Schools.
A native of Baltimore, Bennett-Parker received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore and a Master of Science in Human Administrative Services, Leadership and Supervision, also from the University of Baltimore. She lives in East Baltimore with her husband and child.
