Our understanding of history depends greatly on the evidence that is kept and preserved. Public records are official evidence of a government's actions, and they belong to the people.

The Baltimore City Archives (BCA) is where our city's permanent public records are stored and accessed. People look to the archives to verify dates and facts as well as to investigate topics of interest.

The City Archives is open to all. To learn more about us, ask a question, find records, or make an appointment, click here to visit our full website.
