About Nicole Brehon

Nicole Brehon has over 25 years of accounting and auditing experience working in the federal and state government and the private sector. She is an Auditor in the Risk Management Division in the U.S. Department (Dept.) of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of the Chief Financial Officer. Before joining HUD, Nicole’s former employers include the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Office of Inspector General (OIG); the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse Mental Health Service Administration; the U.S. Dept. of Energy, OIG; the Comptroller of Maryland, Sales and Use Tax Division; and Deloitte and Touche, LLP, Enterprise Risk Division. During her career, she has conducted a myriad of performance and financial audits, compliance inspections, and management internal control reviews. Nicole earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and is pursuing her Certified Government Financial Manager certification. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, engaging in community and cultural activities, and spending time with family and friends.
