About Gayle Guilford

Gayle retired from Baltimore City Government in 2020, ending 12 years in Public Service. Gayle started her career with Baltimore City Government in 2008 as Director of Information Services for the Baltimore City Police Department and, in 2014, accepted the position of the City’s first Chief Information Security Officer, CISO. In 2018 Baltimore City Government recognized her commitment to Public Service by awarding her the “Richard A. Lidinsky, Sr.”  Award for Baltimore City Government public service. She was also the Co-Chair of the Maryland Regional USAI Cyber Security Committee and a member of the MS-ISAC.  Prior to 2008, Gayle worked in Corporate America, including Delotte Touche Consulting. 

Gayle also loves and supports her hometown, Baltimore, and has been active in the Community. She is currently an “N-Power” Board member dedicated to assisting, educating, and promoting community youth interested in Technology and Cyber Security. She also served as a volunteer with the United Way of Central Maryland from 1986 to 2012. Gayle was President and Treasurer of the Eastwood Neighborhood Association from 1987 to 2000 and a Board member of the Bolton Hill Community Association from 2006 to 2012.
